    Children with sickle cell anemia often develop breathing problems and lung infections, such as asthma and pneumonia. Our team of pulmonologists, hematologists, respiratory therapists and other pediatric specialists come together to provide coordinated treatment and ongoing care for these children and their chronic lung problems. Respiratory Therapists Help Children Breathe Easier

You'll see respiratory therapists throughout the hospital in the Newborn ICU, Pediatric ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, emergency centers and on our Kids Kare Mobile ICUs. From caring for premature infants with underdeveloped lungs to helping children with asthma, our specialized respiratory therapists are an essential part of our health care team.
