Technology and Compassion

We offer comprehensive coordinated newborn care. We use state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, continuous EEG monitoring, bedside ultrasonography for brain/spine – as well as one of the very few dedicated MRI units for babies in the world.

Bedside caring is provided by neonatal nursing, respiratory, physical, occupational, speech therapists and other allied health personnel.

    Planning for Special Delivery

Babies at risk or with prenatally diagnosed conditions, are evaluated by the team of physicians from the Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Therapy. For immediate access to our Level IV NICU at Critical Care Tower, we recommend delivery at the high-risk obstetrical unit in the Chartran Frish Family Birth Center.

    Coordinated Care & Follow Up

Babies who spend time in the NICU for various conditions at birth often go on to require therapies, specialities, and rehabilitation services. WCH provides a venue of care after the baby leaves the hospital through adulthood. Care coordination facilitates access to Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Developmental Medicine, all physical, speech and occupational therapies, and the Bower Lyman Center for Medically Complex Children.

Wolfson Critical Care Tower room

Designed for Comfort & Healing

We're one of the first to use this specialized equipment designed for the developing brains of our tiniest patients. From our in-unit MRI to predictive technology and AI, Wolfson Children's offers the most advanced NICU care available.

Spacious, Private Rooms

Families can spend a lot of time in an intensive care unit with their child, so comfort is important. Each room is furnished with a private bathroom with shower, comfortably sleeps two parents and maximizes natural light, which helps to promote well-being in children, infants and postpartum mothers. We encourage parents to participate in their child's care.
