What Makes TNE Different
If your child has a condition affecting the esophagus, their doctor may recommend a test called an "upper endoscopy." Usually, this requires general anesthesia, which means a full day at the hospital, food restrictions and a lot of juggling for families. Unlike traditional methods, TNE requires no general anesthesia, offering a quicker, more comfortable experience for kids 10 and up. With this method, the Gastroenterologist uses a numbing spray instead of sedation, and guides a tiny camera gently through the nose.
