Our Programs

Our intensive, individualized therapy programs typically consist of 3 to 5 sessions per week lasting 3 to 6 weeks.

  • TheraSuit®

A program to accelerate functional progress through the use of the TheraSuit® — a soft canvas suit with bungee-like cords attached — and the Universal Exercise Cage, also called the Spider Cage. When used together, the pull from the bungee-like cords mimics what the child should be feeling when he or she is moving during gross and fine motor patterns, thus retraining the brain so the child can move independently without the TheraSuit® on.

  • Post-Rhizotomy

A program that follows the surgical cutting of sensory nerve rootlets that cause spasticity. When the spasticity is relieved, the underlying muscle groups can begin to work more normally so that mobility and funtion can improve. These patients also receive therapy in the TheraSuit®.

  • Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy

A program used to increase the use of a child’s arm affected or weakened as the result of a neurological injury. A constraint(cast) is placed on the unaffected arm throughout most of the child’s waking hours and during therapy sessions to increase use of the injured arm for self-care and play.

  • Trexo Plus

A program designed to help children with special needs experience walking utilizing the first wearable robotic platform. The robotic legs integrate into the Rifton Pacer gait trainer. Through intensive PT sessions, this cutting edge technology is revolutionizing mobility for children with special needs. It is effective for children who are able to walk as well as not walk.
