From the Doctor
I was born in Savannah, Georgia, but thanks to my parents' service in the U.S. Army, I had the opportunity to grow up experiencing different cultures and communities around the world. I spent much of my childhood in Germany, and those experiences shaped my appreciation for people from all walks of life. When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy making memories with my family through travel, cheering on our favorite football teams and spending quality time together. I believe these experiences have helped me build meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds and have strengthened the empathy, compassion, and understanding I bring to my work as a therapist.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I always enjoy the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives during some of their most challenging moments. I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood and empowered to grow. It is a privilege to walk alongside clients as they navigate life's challenges, discover their strengths and work toward healing and personal growth. What I enjoy most about this work is building genuine therapeutic relationships and witnessing the resilience of the people I serve. Whether I am working with children, adolescents, adults or older adults, I value the opportunity to help each individual develop practical tools, gain confidence and create positive, lasting change. Every person's journey is unique, and I consider it an honor to support them as they move toward greater emotional well-being and a more fulfilling life.
Giving back to my community has always been an important part of who I am. I believe that supporting the communities we serve extends beyond the therapy room. One of the ways I give back is through volunteering, which allows me to connect with others, support meaningful causes, and make a positive impact. I am passionate about serving my community and believe that acts of service help strengthen relationships, foster resilience, and create opportunities for growth and connection.
