Sarah Robinson, PhD, BCBA-D is a licensed psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Robinson has worked with a variety of ages and populations, from children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities to adults who have disorders such as dementia, strokes and Parkinson’s disease. Her current focus is on adults who are in a caregiver role.

From the Doctor

While I have lived in different parts of the country, I have made Jacksonville my home for over 25 years. When I am not working, I enjoy reading, going to the symphony, walking, yoga, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

In my work as a therapist for people with disabilities, I involved parents, grandparents, spouses, or children as an integral part of their family member’s treatment. However, these supportive family members were not the focus, and I saw that resources for them are limited. I believe caregivers have needs too, and I am currently interested in caregiver-focused psychotherapy. If you are in a caregiver role, I want to help you navigate and cope with the responsibility and stress and joy it entails. I can also use my behavioral expertise to offer suggestions for managing any challenging behaviors that your loved one displays. My approach is to meet you where you are and to try to understand your unique experience. I focus on practical and realistic changes that can improve daily life.
