From the Doctor

I was born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, but I also spent nine years away in Tallahassee to attend Florida State University and work in the area. Outside of work, I enjoy playing music and attending shows. My husband and I have three children together, and we enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time in nature and visiting local family.

My philosophy of care is to understand patients' experiences, help connect them to the most appropriate and least-restrictive treatment options and advocate for best practices. A patient's symptoms are secondary to the patient as a human being. I enjoy helping patients through systems, providing psychoeducation and reminding them they are not alone.

I enjoy feeling connected to my local community and often volunteer with local agencies and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I also play French horn with the local Civic Orchestra of Jacksonville.
