Jacksonville, FL -

Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville and the Wolfson Children’s C. Herman and Mary Virginia Terry Heart Institute are continuing to expand and enhance pediatric heart services for infants and children locally and throughout the region with the addition of a new location at Baptist Medical Center South, which opened today. The new clinical space, which will be called Wolfson Children’s Cardiology, will enhance access to outpatient care for patients with congenital heart defects, rhythm disorders and other cardiovascular conditions.

In addition, the Wolfson Children’s Terry Heart Institute will offer new collaborative space that will house pediatric cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac intensivists and other subspecialists providing outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular services on Wolfson Children’s downtown Jacksonville campus. This new 20,000-square-foot space, which will involve a major renovation on the second floor of the 841 Building (formerly called the Aetna Building), is expected to open in early 2022.
