Community Asthma Partnership at Wolfson (CAP-W)

Asthma is the #1 reason that kids miss school and the third leading cause of pediatric hospitalizations. Unfortunately, many children and families don’t have the support they need to properly control their disease. That’s where the Community Asthma Partnership at Wolfson can help.

CAP-W offers information and resources to help families identify asthma, understand the condition and manage it successfully, allowing them to enjoy everyday activities without the scary interruption of an asthma attack.

Wolfson Children's Hospital Community Asthma Partnership

We work with parents, children, educators and health providers to break the cycle of repeated asthma attacks with:

  • Education at schools (watch short video here)
  • Workshops for families
  • Care coordination between families, social services, asthma specialists, primary care physicians and school nurses

Asthma Workshops for Families

Free workshops are currently held one Tuesday evening and one Saturday morning each month. For more information, call 904.202.5132.
