Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for our Critical Care Transport Team at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, evening shift opportunity. We are looking to hire an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This full-time position will care for critical pediatric patients requiring transport to and from Wolfson Children’s Hospital. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in high-stress, fast-paced environments and have experience in critical care, transport, and both PICU and NICU settings.

Registered Respiratory Therapist, Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic life support (BLS), advanced life support (ALS), and critical care support.

  • Understand and carry out orders from physicians or the Medical Director.

  • Perform patient assessments, provide treatment, and monitor patients during inter-facility transport.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

  • Provide appropriate patient care, including emergency procedures such as CPR, endotracheal intubation, needle chest aspiration, and umbilical access for emergency medication delivery.

  • Support hospital critical care units when not participating in transport duties.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3-5 Years Critical Care Experience

  • 3-5 Years Medical Experience

  • PICU Experience

  • NICU Experience

  • Experience with the care of surgical patients

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Associate of Science Required

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy Preferred

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required

  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Required
